I'm going to have to sit through it again. I really loved certain aspects of it and I was really impressed with Jon's direction. (WORD on the Zathura. I LOATHE that movie. Yes, Jumanji had very simplistic themes as well, but they were handled so much better.)
I wasn't keen on Gwyneth Paltrow, but that was only because I thought it was a bit much that this Academy award winning actress, who comes from a family that is Hollywood royalty, would show up after a long absence in a doormat-y bit part as someone's secretary. And WTF with those nutso shoes? Personally, I think it's in keeping with her current press tour, which is essentially: "I'm not an ice-cold, uppity bitch. REALLY." She's reaching out to us lower people, letting us know she's just one of us. Yeah, RIGHT. Even her husband isn't being such a fucking twat lately. They're so trying to clean up the public image because it so backfired on them, being elitist asshats.
