rubykatewritingFollow this link to sign a petition asking for the release and safe return of journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling. They were detained at the North Korean border at the end of March and are set to go on trial for their "crimes" in June next week. Here's an article from The Huffington Post.
This is all being spear-headed by Laura's sister, Lisa. Yes, that Lisa Ling, of Channel One and The View fame. She will also be appearing alongside the rest of her family as well as members of Euna Lee's on several news programs in the next several days.
She's on Twitter (you have to send a follow request but she always approves it) and is constantly updating with news, info, etc. (Aside: personally the most heartbreaking of her tweets had to be, "I wonder if Laura knows N Korea went nuclear." Amidst all the pain of having your sister illegally detained, living in God knows what kind of conditions, and then that? I can't even fucking imagine.)
