QUESTIONS
Why do you dislike #11 so much?
Say what you will about Mere and Derek, but Cristina and Burke hardly seemed to like it each other let alone love one another, so their relationship never worked for me. Also, Burke being Cristina's teacher not only in the OR but on how to be a human being? HAAATE. It came across as Cristina always doing something wrong and Burke showing her the error of her ways. I was never so happy for a left-at-the-alter-storyline in my fucking life.
Who is someone you know that ships #14?
No idea. I know there's a comm on here, but that's the extent of my knowledge of the ship.
What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3?
It's not going to happen in canon because this is Disney we're talking about, but I'd love for this back-and-forth to continue for the series, with little oopsies like those in the Selena episode as well as fights that involve them GETTING IN EACH OTHER'S FACES like "West Coast Story." These both please me. I'll get my angsty, grown up stuff in fic (PLEASE GOD LET THERE EVENTUALLY BE FIC) like that lovely, high school-based Calvin/Susie fic I read ages ago.
Which is your favorite moment for couple #1?
The season finale. *SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS* That scene in the closet was the first time it seemed Cappie was taking some responsibility not just for himself but for the dissolution of their relationship, and I'm so happy with the writers for giving him that growth. I think they are totally MFEO, but I think Cappie has some growing up/figuring out to do before he's ready for Casey, and she's still not totally there either but she's a couple of steps ahead of him. Basically, even as my heart was breaking, that was fucking amaaaazing for me as a shipper.
How long have you been following couple #6?
Since maybe midway through the first season? I dunno. She's adorably (and sometimes scarily) crazy, and she has this weird sibling relationship with Elliot and Hardison, but I love the idea of the two of them together. I just kind of flail at the constant WTFing Hardison would be doing, but at the end of the day, he'd be like, "You're my girl," because that's just how he was raised.
What's the story with #8? What made you stop liking them/caring?
The storyline didn't help, but mainly it's the fact that I find the actor to be a douchey-headed dickhead. So I just pretend he's just like how I wrote him in Home and all is right in my world.
You have the power to make one ship non existent. Choose from #10 or #12:
Ehhh? I guess, Penny/Leonard because I don't feel the slightest bit of chemistry between them. Also, I like Leonard when he isn't schmooping after Penny and is simply the straight man to Penny and Sheldon's antics.
Which ship do you prefer #2 or #4?
Brennan/Booth simply for the fact that I'll actually get to see it play out on the screen. Plus, it's just pure, unadulterated joy. It's like candy and the Runaway Mine Train ride at Six Flags Dallas and those bacon cheeseburgers at Burger King when I was kid all rolled into one giant ball of SQUFLAIL. While Life's cancellation is something I will likely never forgive NBC or Leno for (FUCKERS), I love where it ended, and I love that I can at least relive it all on DVD.
What interests you about #14?
That I can sometimes kind of see it on the show? They truly are each other's yin and yang, and while it's great as friendship, I can see why the shippers ship it.
Why did you stop liking #7?
I think it's a bad sign when you want to punch one half of the couple in the face because he totes sucked the fancy newness out of his beloved. BAD JIM BAD.
Did your waning interest in #9 kill your interest in the show?
No, that would be, in no particular order: the de-Walkering of Rebecca; Getty's antics off-camera not helping my growing Tommy-hate (ngl, it solidified the character in my head as douchey whiner poopy-head); Baitz's unfortunate departure. The uncomfortable couple dynamics between Kitty/Robert that turned me off to them (see also: Kevin/Scotty) are just one of the many reasons I've found myself losing interest, and considering where I was in season one, it makes me sad. This was appointment TV, to the point I would practically LJ live.
What's a song that reminds you of #5?
I have no idea why, but "Can I Kick It?" by A Tribe Called Quest just popped into my head when I thought about them. IDEK, I just think they'd both laugh at me and say something truly cutting and witty and sarcastic if I tried to be a woobie about it. And I'd probably laugh right along with them.
If you could have any of these two pairings double-date, who would it be?
Hmm...Crews/Reese and Cappie/Casey simply because Cappie would drive Reese up the ever-loving fucking wall with his karmic synergy and general lackadaisical attitude? Then Crews could teach him about Zen, and Casey would then ask, "You brought your gun right?" Wins all around.
Has #2 kissed yet?
Yes, and it was totally, completely contrived fan-service and it was GLORIOUS!
Did #4 have a happy ending? If the show hasn't ended yet, do you think a happy ending is likely?
I like to imagine they will have their bumps along the way, but they've managed to jump the biggest hurdle: realizing they love each other, so.
What would make you start shipping #13?
I know Michael is the only one for Fiona, and it seems to be a similar situation for Michael. I love the history that's alluded to and outright stated in the series, but I don't know, I want Fi to stand on her own, and she took steps toward that last season. She pursued a relationship and while Michael did remain a priority, it was as a friend and colleague. Let's just say, I'm about halfway there, but with school, I haven't had a chance yet to watch the new season.
If only one could happen, which would you prefer, #2 or #6?
As Brennan/Booth is almost a sure bet but it's going to be a bit longer before it actually happens (WELL-PLAYED WRITERS BTW), I guess I'll use this one on Parker/Hardison. I just find the idea delightful. The ripples within the group alone – immeasurable joy.
You have the power to decide the fate of #10. What happens to them?
They stay as they are in canon: colleagues. I just don't see the slash between them, but rather a familial bond, a surrogate son for Hotch and a surrogate father for Reid, though neither would ever own up to that. I mean, Hotch is like the papa bear of the group, but more so with Reid than anyone else on the team.
Which of these ships do you love the most?
Atm? Casey/Cappie. I keep watching the finale like an addict after her next fix. It's getting quite sad.

Date: 2009-06-27 05:38 am (UTC)And that scene where Jack listens to all of Liz's voicemails while he eats his New York style pizza from the end of S2? THE LOVE IS VISIBLE. (And possibly gets me all the more because it harkens back to the Jim/Pam voicemail scene from back in the day when Jim/Pam ruled the world.) They're just so ... there for each other, all the time.
Also, Reese/Crews. Oh god, yes.

Your icon is when I realized I was so going to ship them. I mean, I loved them as straight-up partners, but the way he like man-handled her into the shower and is just so generally bigger than her? Yeah, I have a, um, thing for that, and I just love that she was like, "Get the fuck away from me now," afterward. I just loved their dynamics from day one, and it kills me that I'm not going to see how they completely fuck up every which way but up along the way to whatever kind of happily ever after they get.

Date: 2009-06-28 05:55 pm (UTC)I don't ship often...but when I do I'm very loyal. I'll cut some bishes in a ship war. Bwahaha. :p Your thoughts on C/B were interesting though. I didn't like or dislike them together but feel the characters were most interesting, on their own, before Tremorgate. Went downhill fast after that. Too bad with the whole IW/TRK thing. I like Derek but Burke, despite his flaws, was very compelling. IW played him well.

Date: 2009-06-28 06:08 pm (UTC)See, I would have been greatly satisfied had they left Cristina/Burke at the pregnancy storyline. When he got in bed with her after she had the meltdown to end all meltdowns? "WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE SEDATE ME?" (What I love about Sandra is how she can have me crying and laughing at the same time.) Looking back, that could have served as nice ending to their relationship and a nice start to a friendship/mentorship. Alas, Shonda loves her trainwrecks, and this was season two, so.

THIS. It's a shame that he comes across as quite, uh, lacking in the self-awareness department? I think thats the best way I can put it. He's a brilliant actor, and it seems his career has not recovered.

Date: 2009-07-03 01:57 pm (UTC)Remember when GA was about this core group of interns who regularly screwed up and had this great friendship going that evolved into a family (I still adore Mere's speech about Alex being their group's "Uncle Sal" and Alex's speech to the Chief when Izzie completely lost it over Denny)? THOSE WERE THE DAYS.
