Watched the Everwood series finale last night. I will miss this show so much, and I don't think it really hit me until the very end. The way the camera pulled back from Ephram and Amy to show the twinkling lights of Everwood and the mountains beyond was just so fucking perfect. So symbolic that it makes me teary-eyed even now.

Sigh.

In other news, it's fucking hot. HOT. The humidity is something fierce, and no matter how long I live here, it always takes me by surprise that first true day of a Houston summer.

Also, holy shit, is anyone watching Rescue Me? Specifically the episode last night? Fucking hell, man!

I'm sorry you're sad. I know you're a fan. I never watched the show but I'm having a hard time with the whole concept of Everwood right now, simply because the most strident online fans of GG (who I am for the most part giving a wide berth but at whom I cannot refrain from gawking and rubbernecking as at a particularly horrific multi-vehicle pileup) constantly reference the show in their inane and fruitless campaign to disparage ASP, creator of said show to which they are the emotional equivalent of prison bitches. Bloody cows. They're like a virulent bacteria; they contaminate everything they touch.

It's cooler here, 24C, and overcast. I finally have the house to myself and everything is more or less in working order, so I am trying to settle back into work. Having said that, I'm hoping to be around later, if you want to chat. Same bat time, same bat channel.
