Someone over at Feministe posted this vid a few (several?) weeks back, but I couldn't watch it at the time. Then the awesome [livejournal.com profile] likespring posted it over at [livejournal.com profile] ontd_political and OHMYHELL, was I sorry that I hadn't had a chance to revel in the awesome of it yet.

YES, IT IS THAT FUCKING AWESOME.

For those who don't know, there is a story making the rounds in Blog-o-World that Senator John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee to lead our great nation, called his wife a cunt in front of reporters (he was being followed during one of his senatorial campaigns). While I'm no fan of Cindy McCain, NO YOU JUST DID’T, fuckwit. There is just not enough NO in the world for that one.

It's sort of like my stance on abortion and men's role when it comes to abortion. Do you possess a penis? Then you'd best STFD and STFU.

This is awesome! I hadn't seen that story at all... so now we're all sitting around my newsroom talking about it.

This cannot be said often enough or loudly enough.

I'm glad that you said that, because I've gotten a LOT of flack about that in the past, even from pro-choice females over at [livejournal.com profile] abortiondebate. I was surprised as fuck.

I think that people fall into the freedom of choice for me but not for thee -trap a lot. But waht gets me is that I keep thinking: in what other situation is a person's body public poperty, to be decided on somebody else's convenience or morals? There is no such thing, but lo and behold when someone is pregnant; then it's the business and property of everybody else.

I saw this video a little while ago - it is most indeedy awesome! I get really irritated when McCain is portrayed as such a "maverick" when in fact he's super-conservative on a lot of the most important issues today (like abortion rights!).

THANK YOU. (Also, icon FLOVE. I cannot wait for Life to return.) He might not be the sooper-dooper uber Christian as Bush claims to be so he isn't immediately drawing in the Evangelicals, but he is so ridiculously conservative on so many issues (heelllo, he isn't called REPUBLICAN for shits and giggles, folks!). It absolutely sets my teeth on edge because I keep waiting and waiting for the fair and balanced reporting on McCain. And people give the MSM hell for their gushing Obama-love? PLEASE. If he's such a swell guy, why did he treat his first wife so atrociously? Why does he call his current wife a trollop and a cunt? (Don't even get me started on the differences between the way Michelle Obama is treated vs. Cindy McCain.) *SIGH* At the very least, I have Olbermann. That will have to do.
