Is this the lying sack of shit bit? I can't watch the clip you've linked to because I'm not in the U.S.
I find this situation to be incredible, and not a little surreal. It's like when George Bush is talking about poverty, or what comes immediately to mind after Gustav, Katrina. His eyes are always unfocused because the words that describe the issues have no meaning to him. Because to him the issues aren't real. He doesn't care about poor people. And like Kanye West said, "George Bush doesn't care about black people." So to hear these idiots at Fox, these right wing tools, try to talk about women like they care about women is a joke.
On a separate note, I can't fucking stand that she's waving around her child with Down Syndrome like she's such a fucking martyr for allowing him to live because she's against choice. The fact that people with Down Syndrome have a right to exist, and that eugenics is, you know, bad, is a different issue. I hate the fact that it's all going to be muddled up in the media.
It's the comparison between Repub talking heads now and then, basically revealing every bit of their hypocrisy.
So to hear these idiots at Fox, these right wing tools, try to talk about women like they care about women is a joke. THIS. Especially that tool O'Reilly, who I have been forced to watch a great deal of in these past three months because Grandma's a fan. I mean, a man who blames a victim for her rape and murder because she was drunk and wearing revealing clothing is someone I'm going to rely on for a good opinion on women? Or a female candidate? Sorry, NO FUCKING DICE.
On a separate note, I can't fucking stand that she's waving around her child with Down Syndrome like she's such a fucking martyr for allowing him to live because she's against choice. EXACTLY. My grandmother said something glowing about Palin and the kid, Trig, and I turned to her and was like, "Of course she'd have the baby. She wouldn't allow her daughters to abort a child even if they were raped or the victims of incest. Why would she abort a child simply because it has Downs?" My grandma is kind of like Bush in a way: whenever faced with evidence that doesn't fit into her very narrow worldview (for instance, the fact that I have black heritage on my father's side, which my mother pointed out after my grandmother used "colored" one too many fucking times), her eyes glaze over and she quickly changes the subject. Such was her response that day.
